Asheville Design Showhouse 2012

A few shots from the Asheville Design Showhouse 2012…

showhouse2 — most of the house is oriented to the view…and what a view this time of year!

showhouse5 — the kitchen was all business…a great size to work in, but not the “mcmansion” size of recent years

showhouse6 — great den off the kitchen…how ’bout a glass of wine while waiting for dinner to cook

showhouse9 — more master bedroom…i could spend many a cozy winter night in there

showhouse10 — the hammered silver tub was gorgeous, but little man thought it might be cold…

showhouse11 — great closet built-ins

showhouse12 — loved this woodsy tile paired with pebble floor

showhouse13 — wine cellar…can’t even imagine stocking this whole thing…though I’d certainly try;)

showhouse15 — downstairs sunroom, adjacent to family room

showhouse16 — little man and middle child checking out the media capabilities in the family room…it would definitely need room darkening shades

showhouse17 — cozy downstairs office with magnificent views

showhouse19 — not really sure what the vignette under the cloche means…life is messy…that’s my best guess

showhouse23 — the waterfall spills over and under a bridge and ends up in a pond by the driveway

showhouse24 — carriage house bedroom with loft that little man explored and decided was “wasted space”

showhouse26 — waterfall weaving its way under the footbridge that joins main house to carriage house

Good gravy. Quite a house – but the view would be worth any upkeep! I did love the bedrooms esp and the kitchen looked about perfect. Best is the running commentary by A. ! I know y’all had fun. Missing the mountains…..
