Master Bath Reveal

October 21, 2012 by carole 3 Comments

Blogged about master bath renovation here and here and here.  We actually started using bath in August, but the finishing touches take time with the shutters going in just last week.  This project, more than any of the others in eleven long years of renovation, seemed fraught with problems. It rained in the new addition, sloppy tile work required a few fixes, electrical components needed shifting, and we experienced delays in material arrival. BUT, as I’ve said all along, it is always worth it in the end. Not only do we love it, but kitchens and baths sell houses and this provides a final “insurance” to sell this house in the future.  Mr. F&F can’t believe I share a recent renovation which we’ve only briefly enjoyed AND selling the house all in one sentence.  The master bath reveal with some final details still awaiting.

First view upon entering…toilet is concealed behind the kneewall.
Kept these glass shelves from pre-renovation.

Mr. F&F’s side…though I use shower as well
My side – dual mirrored closets flank a vanity area built with stock cabinet drawer.
The ACCESSORY closet! This is the closet to the right of vanity desk…and something I’ve dreamed of for years. All you need is around 4 feet to dedicate this space in your closet.
Along with perfumes and creams, wanted a picture of my cuties from times gone by.
New bath and sink where old den used to be.
She came all the way from russia even though her ebay seller said he was in new york…buyer beware.
New glass shelves on my side to mirror the glass shelves on the other side of glass blocks.
Den with settee – trying to find used ottoman for this space.
TV end of den with painted antique linen cabinet-turned-media-console below.

Yay! I’d been waiting to see the settee and shutters in place – it’s beautiful, relaxing, and very YOU and Mr. F&F! I’m so happy for you. Now…when can i make an appointment for a soak?
