Had a lovely day with two lady friends and little man, exploring the Cashiers NC Showhouse 2012.  It is an annual event and I think this year’s 10,000 square foot house exceeded expectations.  No photos allowed, but thanks to one friend’s sneaky cell phone, other folks’ blogposts, and even a youtube video of the empty house (pre-decorator invasion) you can get a sense of the crazy size of this place…

This was one of my last days spent in the mountains this summer, the temperatures had really dropped and we enjoyed an al fresco lunch after the tour (where we really needed coats!).  The tour of the Cashiers, NC Showhouse was inspiring and included some renowned designers. It runs through the end of this weekend if you happen to be enjoying labor day in the mountains.
