I confess that I love her. I have always admired Martha Stewart.
She teaches us homemaking skills and how to excel at them. And, as Oprah pointed out, who knew that baking excellent chocolate chip cookies could translate into a multi-billion dollar business? I applaud Martha Stewart and her business savvy and love to use her ideas. BUT let’s face it, who can maintain it consistently? Life pulls us in many directions and well, here’s a little pictorial journey I like to call, “Martha and Me”…
Martha…
….and me.
MARTHA…
…and little ol’ me.
Her…
…and me.
Her highness…
…and lowly me.
Goddess of garages…
…and mudroom plebe.
Reigning queen of pots…
…and princess of pans.
She-who-is-revered…
…and she-who-runs-amok.
She who makes perfect pesto…
…and me who makes a mess-to.
I don’t obsess over it. Have good systems in my house, things run pretty smoothly, organize and arrange when it drives me crazy, but mostly live in the moment. I think Martha Stewart would agree that is a “good thing.”
