My belly is swelling and it’s time to get home…after one last stop in beautiful Rome. Some more photos…the island of Murano is glass-making country and their outdoor art is breathtaking…
…and meeting a master lacemaker on the island of Burano was a true highlight. She invited us into her home (right next to her shop), which was part of a series of buildings that served as a convent…
…and Burano has taught me, “why not a purple house?”
Italian ceramica was hard to pass up…especially once we hit the Amalfi coast…it’s everywhere and lemons are more than just a passing theme…
…and of course, real lemons EVERYWHERE, needed to make the much famous Limoncello and Granites…
…and lastly, a decorating idea swiped from a restaurant on the island of Burano…great use for old frames when paired with a “box” on back (and they don’t just have to hold wine, although that would be my preference)…
