Here are some of the lovelies found at most recent auction and a couple other things found elsewhere. F&F very crowded so having a sale at Hunt and Gather this weekend, running through Halloween evening.
Busts are hot rights now and I’ll be damned if I can score them at auction (there were probably ten lots of busts at this auction) but I did manage to get a couple small ones…
Feel lucky to have scored this table cause here’s a whole blog devoted to all things wheaty and sheafy, a very hot trend right now.

I so want the wheat sheaf table. Also, just to show my art history classes were not for nothing, naked man is the Dying Gaul, which would seem to make him French. However, it was to commemorate a victory over the Anatolians, who were in what is now Turkey, so maybe we could call him Vaguely European Man. Naah, Naked Man it is.
eric- thanks for clearing up naked man – i always take what the auctioneer says as gospel ….but i will take an educated man’s knowledge over that anyday!!
